Twitter is a social media platform where users can share short posts of 140 characters, share posts of those they follow or favorite posts of those they follow. Twitter is a useful tool for the classroom for a couple of reasons. Teachers can share posts from educational accounts, news accounts or even inspirational or motivational accounts and have families follow the account who are able to. Teachers can also use the Twitter page as a reminder page for families and students depending on their age. They can post about assignments, assessments, events and class achievements. Twitter is a good tool to use to connect families to the classroom community as well as serve as a source of organization for students, families, and teachers in and out of the classroom.
